Kia ora, I’m Dr. Hojun Yoo, an evidence-based, adjustment-centric chiropractor. My focus is you - helping your body work at its best so you can show up for the people and passions you love. I’ll listen to your story, check how your body is functioning, and use gentle, specific care to unlock your full potential. Sue Molony

Chiropractic Assistant

Crafty connoisseur, dog lover, avid walker.

Sue has recently joined the team, coming from a background in healthcare administration. She brings a warm and welcoming atmosphere to our team, and is always down for a friendly chat!

Hailing from South Africa, Sue has found her home in Whakatāne, which holds a special place in her heart as the beautiful and safe town her children grew up and became adults. Nowadays, Sue spends her time knitting and crocheting (in preparation for any potential future grandchildren), and walking her dogs (in their very own knitted goods).

Sue has always had positive experiences with chiropractic care, having enjoyed seeing many lives improve in multiple ways.

Carien Du Toit

Chiropractic Assistant

Suid-Afrikaanse tannie, beach bum, proud mum.

Carien is the newest addition to the Whakatāne Chiropractic team, joining us in August 2026. With experience as a teacher aide and council worker, Carien is compassionate and deeply caring, always going the extra mile for patients.

After moving to Whakatāne in 2025 with her husband, son and two dogs, Carien has found her place, enjoying family time in the relaxed lifestyle here. She enjoys the beaches and walking her energetic doggos, as well as spending her spare time volunteering for church activities.

Carien is passionate about chiropractic care and is happy to recommend it to anyone looking to improve their wellbeing.

Tahlia Yoo

Administration

Board game lover, new mum, arts-and-crafter.

I’m Tahlia, Hojun’s wife - I’m behind the scenes doing all things administration while juggling being a new mother to our baby girl! Some of our original patients may remember me as I worked at reception up until having our daughter.

In my free time (which is a rarity these days), I enjoy arts and crafts, and anything design. I worked as a kitchen designer for a short time after completing my Bachelor of Design (Spatial) in 2023, which was a lot of fun.

I've learned a lot about chiropractic while supporting Hojun through university and throughout his career, as well as having seen chiropractors since I was a baby. I understand the impact good chiropractic care can make on your overall wellbeing, and how it can improve function.
